Meeting Point
Please see http://goo.gl/maps/u60oQ for directions to our meeting location on the beach at Canoe Lake. Please study or print the driving directions and do not rely on GPS. But, if you also wish to use GPS, Canoe Lake beach is located at latitude/longitude: 45.535032°, -78.706570°. You do not need to stop at the park gate. Please watch for the little KM markers on the side of highway 60, inside Algonquin Park. The turn off for Canoe Lake (look for the large sign that says Canoe Lake/Portage Store) is just after KM 14 when entering by the West gate. Or, KM 15, if entering Algonquin Park by the east gate. As you drive 150m (yards) up the Canoe Lake Rd., there is a large parking area on the right hand side. Please park in this first parking lot and walk down (via the small driveway at the far end - look for a second Canoe Lake sign) to the beach with your bags. You will need to purchase a day parking pass at the canoe lake office or at the west and east gates when you enter the park.
